Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Rasa platform, website, and services operated by Rasa ("we", "our", "us"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent. The Family plan is designed for household use, with an adult as the primary account holder.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Subscription Plans

Free Plan: Provides limited access to recipes, AI Chef queries, and features as described on our pricing page.

Rasa Pro: A monthly or annual subscription providing unlimited recipe access, enhanced AI Chef queries, offline access, and premium features.

Rasa Family: Includes all Pro features plus up to 5 family member accounts.

4. Billing & Cancellation

• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe
• Both Rasa Pro and Rasa Family include a 7-day free trial
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds are issued for partial billing periods
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' written notice

5. AI Chef Usage

AI Chef is powered by artificial intelligence and is designed to assist with Indian cooking questions. You agree that:

• AI Chef responses are informational and not a substitute for professional nutritional, medical, or dietary advice
• You will not attempt to manipulate, exploit, or circumvent AI Chef's safety boundaries
• Monthly query limits apply based on your subscription plan and reset on the 1st of each month
• We may moderate, log, or review AI interactions to improve safety and quality

6. Content & Intellectual Property

All recipes, articles, images, design elements, and AI-generated content on the Platform are the property of Rasa or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially use any content without written permission.

User-generated content (reviews, feedback) grants us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Platform.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Scrape, crawl, or data-mine the Platform or its content
• Interfere with the Platform's infrastructure or security
• Share your subscription credentials with non-household members
• Submit false, misleading, or spam content

8. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

• The Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Nutritional information is exact (all values are approximate)
• AI Chef responses are always accurate or complete
• Recipes are suitable for individuals with specific allergies or medical conditions

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rasa shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions relating to intellectual property, liability, and disputes survive termination.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action shall be brought in the courts of Harris County, Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
